An Evening by the Lake

Ghats have their own stories. Some are too capricious, others are calming.

The lives of people, their purposes vary with each Ghat and with each time. The Gangaur Ghat at the Bagore ki Haveli museum holds this true aptly. Situated at the waterfront of Lake Pichola, it is one of the popular destinations for the celebration of local festivals.

An evening at Gangaur Ghat is worth in your whole itinerary. Enjoying the sunset over the lake, the chirping of the birds, and the traditional Rajasthani music played at the Ghat by local artists – life feels sorted and equanimous.

You can spend hours sitting at this Ghat and do some self-realization or click some cool photos of the Sun.

The beautiful Bagore-ki-Haveli (about which, of course, I would write later) looks stunning under the Sun’s orange dusky rays.

But one thing I would like to say that the municipality should restrict polluting the lake’s water from local bathing and washing activities. I hope that would make the lake natural and beautiful for the tourist to enjoy and Udaipur to relish too.

Anyways, after all these, I would like to say Gangaur Ghat is one of the best places to spend some quality time in Udaipur. Here is the video with the music of the special ‘Ravanahatta’ that we captured live being played at the Ghat.
